David Langill To William Langill.
Registered 20th April 1844, at 2 o'clock p.m. on the oath of George S. Langill.

This Indenture made this twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand and eight hundred and forty four.
Between David Langill of River John in the County of Pictou,
and Province of Nova Scotia,Yeoman, of the one part,
and William Langill of River John in the County and Province aforesaid,
Yeoman, of the other part. Witnesseth,
that the said David Langill for and in consideration
of the sum of fifty pounds currency of the province of Nova Scotia
to him in hand, paid by the said William Langill
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents.
The receipts whereof is hereby asked acknowledged.

Hath granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed, released and confirmed, and
by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, release and
confirm unto the said William Langill, his heirs, executors,
administrators and assigns forever a certain lot or parcel land situate,
lying and being in the settlement of River John in the county of Pictou
aforesaid and abutted, bounded and described as follows: that is to say
beginning at a stake in the East boundary line of James Paterquen's farm lot,
from thence to run East allowing for variation ten chains and fifty
links to the West boundary line of George Gratto Senior's farm lot,
thence South along said Gratto and George Gratto Junior's lots sixty one
chains and seventy fife links or to a stake on the North boundary line
of Ephraim Paterquen's lands,
thence West along said North boundary line
ten chains and fifty links or to a large Hemlock tree being the
South East angle of James Paterquens lot aforesaid and thence
North along the East boundary line of the same,
sixty one chains and seventy five links to the place of beginning.
Containing sixty four acres more or less.

To have and to hold the said lot of land and premises with all the
buildings and improvements thereon thereto belonging or in any wise
appertaining to him the said William Langill, his heirs, executors,
administrators and assigns, to his and their only use benefit and behoof
forever and the said David Langill doth hereby bind himself his heirs,
executors, administrators and assigns against the lawful claim of all
and every person or persons to warrant and defend the said
William Langill his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in the peaceful
and quiet possession of the above conveyed premises, forever.

I witness whereof the said David Langill have hereunto his name
subscribed and seal affixed the day and year first above written

George S. Langill Nathan Langill
Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture from the
therein named William Langill the sum of fifty pounds being the
consideration money therein mentioned to be paid by him to one witness.
