George F. Langill and wife to Angus McDonald.
Registered 5 November, 1846, at 4 o'clock p.m.
on the certificate of Kenneth McLean, J.P. pursuant to law..
This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of May in the year of our
Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty three.
Between George F. Langill of River John in the County of Pictou, Farmer,
and Ann Langill his wife of the one part,
and Angus McDonald of River John, in the County aforesaid, Farmer, of the other part.
Witnesseth,that the said George F.Langill for and in consideration
of the sum of two pounds of Halifax currency to him in hand,
well and truly paid at or before the execution of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged.
Hath granted, bargained, sold, released, enfeoffed, and confirmed, and
by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release, enfeoff, and
confirm unto the said Angus McDonald, his heirs, executors,
administrators and assigns a certain lot or parcel of land situate,lying
and being in River John aforesaid, abutted and bounded as follows:
Commencing one hundred and fourteen feet an a northerly direction
from William Langill's corner, thence running sixty feet along the High Road
to a certain stake more or less, then to run forty feet back from said
High Road to a certain stake more or less, thence sixty feet along the
rear to a certain stake in a northerly and southerly direction.
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises above
mentioned, with all the appurtenances unto the said Angus McDonald,his
heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to his proper use benefit
and behoof forever.
And the said George F. Langill for himself, his heirs,and assigns against all
and every person or persons lawfully claiming the same,
or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and
defend unto the said Angus McDonald, his heirs,and assigns, and the said
Ann Langill doth by these presents forever quit all claim that she now
hath, or expect to have in case of Dower, or otherwise unto the said
Angus McDonald, his heirs,and assigns, forever.
In witness thereof the aforesaid parties have hereunto let their hands
and affixed their seals the day and year first above written

Received from the within Angus McDonald the sum of two hundred pounds,
being the full consideration money to be paid from him to me.

On this third day of July, in the year of the Lord one thousand and
eight hundred and forty six, before me the subscriber, one of Her
Majesty's Justice of the peace for the County of Pictou, personally came
and appeared Mrs. Ann Langill, wife of aid George F. Langill whose name
is subscribed to the foregoing deed if Indenture,
who being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband,
acknowledged that the said indenture was by her intended
and that justly and voluntarily without force
or confrontation on the part of the said husband.

Roderick McDonald, one of the subscribing witnesses to the execution
of the foregoing indenture by the parties whose names and seals
