Registered 2nd June, 1847, at 12 o'clock a.m.
on the certificate of Alexander McKenzie, pursuant to law.

This Indenture made this twenty second day of April in the year of our
Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven.
Between William Langill, G.F.'s son,
of River John in the County of Pictou,Yeoman,and
Eunice his wife of the one part, and James Lang of River John aforesaid,
in the County of Pictou,aforesaid,Yeoman, of the other part.

Witnesseth,that the said William Langill and Eunice his wife for and in
consideration of the sum of sixty one pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia
to them in hand, paid by the said James Lang at or before the
execution of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby asked
acknowledged.

Have and each of them Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed,
conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do and each of them doth
grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, convey and confirm unto the said
James Lang, his heirs and assigns all that certain lot or parcel of land situate,
lying and being in the settlement of River John in the County of Pictou
aforesaid,abutted,bounded and described as follows, :
Beginning in the southeast boundary line of the said James Lang's farm
lot, at a stake the west angle of a lot of land belonging to a certain
John Tattrie, and running thence south forty five degrees east on said
Tattrie's lot ten chains and fifty links to the northwest boundary line
belonging to George Gratto Senior, thence south forty five degrees west
along said Gratto's land and land belonging to George Gratto Jr., sixty
one chains and seventy five links to a stake in the northeast boundary
boundary line of Ephraim Patriquin's farm lot, thence north forty five
degrees west along said boundary line ten chains and fifty links to a
large hemlock stump, the south angle of James Lang's farm lot aforesaid
and thence north forty five degrees east along said farm lot east sixty
one chains and seventy five links to the place of the beginning
Containing sixty four acres, more or less.
Together with all houses, buildings,woods,ways,and waters,
herititaments, priveliges and appurtenances thereto belonging or in
anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder
and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate,
right,title,interest,claim, property and demand whatsoever both at law
and in equity of him, the said William Langill and all dower, or right to dower,
or title, or other interests of her the said Eunice his wife into of or upon
the said lot of land and premises or any part thereof.

To have and to hold the said lot of land and all and singular other
the premises hereby granted and conveyed or mentioned or intended so to
be with them and every of these appurtenances unto him the said
James Lang, his heirs and assigns,this and their only proper use
and benefit and behoof forever and the said William Langill
for himself his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns doth hereby
covenant promise and agree to and with the said James Lang,
heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in manner and form following,
that is to say that at the time of execution these presents he,
the said William Langill is and stands seized of a good and sufficient title
to said lot of land hereby granted and conveyed without any condition
or encumbrance whatsoever. And that he hath good right,
full power and lawful authority to sell and convey
the said lot of land and premises in manner and form as the same is
hereby granted and conveyed or mentioned or intended so to be and also
that the said William Langill and his heirs and the said granted land
and premises to the said James Lang his heirs and assigns against the
lawful claims and demands of all and every person or persons whomsoever
will warrant,maintain,forever defend by these presents.

In witness whereof the said William Langill and Eunice his wife have
hereto severally their names subscribed and seals affixed the day and
year first above written

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture from the
therein named James Lang the sum of sixty one pounds of lawful money of
Nova Scotia being in full the consideration therein mentioned to me.

Be it remembered that on the twenty seventh day of April, in the year of
the Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven, personally
affirmed before me the subscriber one of Her Majesty's Justice of the
Peace for the County of Pictou, Eunice Langill, a party to the foregoing
indenture and wife of William Langill, also a party thereto, who being
by me examined separate and apart from her said husband. acknowledged
that the said indenture was by her intended and that justly and
voluntarily without force or confrontation on the part of the said husband.

I do certify that John Gould, one of the subscribing witnesses came
personally before me and made an oath that he was at and witnessed the
execution of the foregoing indenture by the parties whose names and
