William Langille and wife to Thomas Langille.
Registered September 1,1847, at 1 o'clock p.m.
on the certificate of Kenneth McLean J.P. pertinent to law.
This Indenture made this eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord
one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven.
Between William Langille of River John in the County of Pictou,Yeoman,
and Eunice his wife of the one part,
and Thomas Langille of River John aforesaid,
in the County aforesaid,of the other part.
Witnesseth,that the said William Langill and Eunice his wife
for and in consideration of the sum of seventy pounds of lawful money
of the province of Nova Scotia to them in hand,
paid by the said Thomas Langille at or before the execution of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby asked acknowledged.
Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and
confirmed, and by these presents do and each of them doth grant,
bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said James
Gammon, his heirs and assigns forever a certain lot or parcel of land
situate,lying and being on the Eastern side of River John in the County
aforesaid and is abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:
Beginning at the south-east corner of John Peter Perin's farm lot,
thence west along said John Peter Perin's line eighty chains, thence
south six chains and forty four links, thence east eighty chains or
until it comes to the river and thence the several courses of the river
down to the place of beginning.
Containing fifty acres, more or less.
To have and to hold the said land and premises with all the stones and
wood there on or there onto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him
the said Thomas Langille,his heirs,executors, administrators and
assigns,this and their use benefit and behoof forever and the said
William Langille doth hereby for himself binds to warrant and defend all
that may claim to dower or title of her, the said Eunice his wife, in
the peaceful and quiet possession of the above conveyed premises
forever.
In witness whereof the said parties have here unto have subscribed and
let their hands and seals at River john aforesaid upon the day and year
first above written

Be it remembered that on the eighth day of May, in the year of the Lord
one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven, personally affirmed
before me,the subscriber one of Her Majesty's Justice of the Peace for
the County of Pictou, Eunice Langille, a party to the foregoing
indenture and wife of William Langille, also a party thereto, who being
by me examined separate and apart from her said husband. acknowledged
that the said indenture was by her intended and that justly and
voluntarily without force or confrontation on the part of the said
husband.
