DEED
George S. Langill To Mathew Langill.
Registered Dec.19 1843, at 1 o'clock p.m. on the oath of Thomas Langill.

This Indenture made at River John this seventeenth day of August
in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty one.
Between George Smith Langill of River John aforesaid,
in the County of Pictou,and province of Nova Scotia, Yeoman, of the one part,
and Mathew Langill, of River John, aforesaid in the county of Pictou
and province of Nova Scotia, of the other part.
Witnesseth,that the said George Smith Langill for and in consideration
of the sum of sixty five pounds currency of the said province to him in hand,
paid by the said Mathew Langill, the receipt is hereby asked acknowledged.

Hath granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed, released, and confirmed, and
by these presents doth hereby grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, release,
and confirm unto the said Mathew Langill, his Heirs, Executors,
Administrators and Assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate,
lying and being on the west side of River John, known and described as
follows, that is to say:

Beginning six chains and one quarter from the South East corner of
John Peter Perin's line, thence West eighty chains,
or until it comes to the rear line, thence South six chains and one quarter,
thence East eighty chains or until it comes to the River,
and thence the several courses of the River downstream to the place of beginning.
Containing 50 acres, more or less.

To have and to hold the said land and premises with all the stone and
wood thereon or thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining to him,
the said Mathew Langill aforesaid, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and
Assigns to his and their only use benefit and behoof forever.
And the said George Smith Langill hereby binds himself, His heirs, Executors,
Administrators and Assigns to warrant and defend the said Mathew Langill
and his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns in the peaceful and
quiet possession of the above conveyed premises forever.

In witness whereof the said George Smith Langill have hereto his hands
and seal subscribed and set the day and year first above and before written

Received at River John on the forth of October 1841 from Mathew Langill
the sum of sixty five pounds currency the consideration mentioned in the
foregoing Deed.
