Isaac Langille and wife to Joseph Langille
Registered 17th February 1856 at 1 o'clock p.m. on the certificate of William Langille, J.P.

This Indenture made the twenty-sixth day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four between Isaac Langill, James' son, of River John in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, and Isabella, his wife, of the one part and Joseph Langill, James' son, of River John aforesaid in the county of Pictou aforesaid, yeoman, of the other part.

Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia to them in hand paid by the said Joseph Langill at or before the execution of these presents the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged they, the said Isaac Langille and Isabella, his wife, have and each of them hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, quit, claimed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do, and each of them doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, quite, claim and confirm unto the said Joseph Langill his heirs and assigns all the estate right, title, interest, share, property claims and demand whatsoever both at law and in equity of him the said Isaac Langille and all the Dower or right or title to Dower or other of her, the said Isabella, his wife is, to, out, of, upon all that certain lot or piece of land situate lying and being on the south side of the Mill Brook Road in the settlement of River John and County of Pictou, aforesaid, and jointly held by the said Isaac Langille and Joseph Langille by deeds bearing date the third of April A.D.1845 and is abutted and bounded and described as follows.

That is to say, beginning on the south side of the Mill Brook Road aforesaid and west boundary line of James Lander's farm lot and running thence south on side lot twenty-three chains to the northeast angle of Jacob Langille's farm lot, thence west on said farm lot four chains thence north twenty-three chains to the south side of the Road aforementioned and thence east along the same four chains to the place of beginning containing five acres, more or less, with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances to the said lot or piece of land belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders unto Issues and Profits thereof.

To have and to hold the said lot or piece of lands and promises with the appurtenances hereinbefore sold and conveyed or intended so to be and every part and parcel thereof unto him the said Joseph Langille, his heirs and assigns and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever.

And the said Isaac Langille for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant with the said Joseph Langille, his heirs and assigns that he and they shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly enter into, have, hold, occupy, posses and enjoy the said lot of lands and premises hereinbefore described and hereby sold, quit, claimed and conveyed or intended so to be and every part and parcel thereof and without any lawful eviction, molestation or disturbances from any person or persons lawfully claiming the same or any part or parcel thereof.

In witness whereof the parties of these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year hereinbefore first written

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Instrument from the therein named Joseph Langille, the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia being in full the consideration therein mentioned to be paid by him to me.

Be it remembered that on the twenty-sixth day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and fifty-four, before me the subscriber, one of her Majesty's Justice of the Peace for the county of Pictou, there personally appeared Mrs. Isabella Langille a party to the written Instrument and wife of Isaac Langille who is also a party thereto and being by me examined acknowledged that the said Instrument was by her executed for the purposes therein set forth and that freely and voluntarily without force or compulsion on the part of her said husband.

I do certify that Mr. John Gould, subscribing witness to the written Instrument came personally before me and made oath that he was present at and witness to the executing of the same by the parties whose names and seals are thereto set.
