This Indenture made at River John
this twenty sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty five.

Between Christopher Langill (John's son) of River John in the County of
Pictou, Yeoman,
and Lucy his wife of the one part,
and Alexander McKenzie of River John aforesaid,
in the County aforesaid, Esquire, of the other part.
Witnesseth,that the said Christopher Langill for and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds of currency of the
Province of Nova Scotia to him in hand,
paid by the said Alexander McKenzie at or before
the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged.

Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and
confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien,
enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Alexander McKenzie, his heirs
Executors, administrators and assigns forever.
A certain lot or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the settlement of River john,
aforesaid,on the southwestern side of the Sand Marsh Road and is abutted
and bounded as follows,viz:

Beginning at the intersection of the northwestern boundary line
of James Lang's farm lot, and southwestern side line of Sand Marsh Road
aforesaid, at or near the point where the said Sand Marsh Road and the
Tatamagouche Road separate, from thence to run south forty five degrees
west along the said northwestern boundary line of said Lang's farm lot
fifty two chains and fifty links more or less to the eastern angle of
lands belonging to George Joudry Senior, thence north forty five degrees
west on said Joudry's lands eleven chains to the southern angle of
Robert Langill's farm lot, thence north forty five degrees west on said
Joudry's lands eleven chains to the southern angle of Robert Langill's
farm lot, thence north forty five degrees east on said Langill's said
lot, fifty two chains more or less to the said Marsh Road aforesaid,
thence south-easterly along said south-westerly side of said Sand Marsh
Road eleven chains, to the place of beginning.
Containing fifty seven acres, more or less.

To have and to hold the said lot of land and premises with all the
buildings and improvements thereon and there unto belonging, or in any
wise appertaining thereto to him the said Alexander McKenzie, his heirs,
executors, administrators and assigns to their only use benefit and
behoof forever. And the said Christopher Langill, with the consent of
Lucy, his lawful spouse assigning overall her right to Dower hereby
binds himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in the
peaceful and quiet possession of the above conveyed premises forever.

In witness whereof the said Christopher Langill and Lucy his spouse
aforementioned have hereunto their hands and seals subscribed and set
the day and year first above written

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture from the
therein named Alexander McKenzie the sum of one hundred pounds currency
of Nova Scotia, being the full consideration mentioned in the foregoing
deed.
