David Langill and wife To Joseph Langill.
Registered 26th June 1847, at 11 o'clock a.m.
on the certificate of Alex McKenzie J.P. pursuant to law.
This Indenture made this twenty second day of June in the year of our
Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven.
Between David Langill of the River John in the County of Pictou,Yeoman,
and Eleanor his wife of the one part,
and Joseph Langill,of River John of the other part.
Witnesseth, that the said David Langill and Eleanor his wife
for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds currency of the said
province,to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Langill.
The receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged.
Hath granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and
confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff,
release, convey and confirm unto the said Joseph Langill, his heirs,
executors, administrators and assigns, that certain lot or parcel of
land known and described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of a lot of land owned by the late
Matthew Langill, thence south sixty three chains, thence east eight chains
and sixty eight links, thence north sixty three chains,thence
west eight chains and sixty eight links to the place of beginning.
Containing fifty four and six tenth acres, more or less.
Being that lot of land conveyed to the said David Langill in and by a
certain agreement and division of the Real Estate of said Joseph Langill
deceased, and marked with the name of said David Langill on the plan of
Division annexed to the said.
Agreement the nineteenth day of May, 1845.
To have and to hold the said land and premises with all stones and wood
thereon and thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining to him the
said Joseph Langill, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to
his and their only use benefit and behoof forever.
And the said David Langill,
hereby binds himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and
assigns to warrant and defend and likewise all the right or claim to
Dower or thirds of her, the said Eleanor, his wife, into or upon or any
part thereof unto the said Joseph Langill,his heirs, executors,
administrators and assigns in the peaceful and quiet possession of the
above conveyed premises forever.
In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have her unto let
their hands and seals at River John aforesaid upon the day and year
first above and before written

Received at River John the twenty second day of June, 1847,
from Joseph Langill the sum of fifty pounds currency being the consideration
mentioned of the foregoing indenture.

Be it remembered that on twenty second day of June in the year of the
Lord one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven, personally appeared
before me,the subscriber,one of Her Majesty's Justice of the Peace for
the County of Pictou, Eleanor Langille, a party to the foregoing
indenture and wife of David Langill , also a party thereto, who being by
me examined separate and apart from her said husband. acknowledged that
the said indenture was by her intended and that justly and voluntarily
without force or confrontation on the part of the said husband.

John Langill of River John in County Pictou,
maketh oath and saith that he was present
and witnessed the executing of the foregoing indenture by David Langill
party thereto.
Sworn to at River John this twenty second day of June 1867, before me
