George Fredrick Langille to Nathan Langille.
Registered 2nd April 1847, at 9 o'clock a.m.
on the certificate of Angus McDonald, a subscribing witness, pursuant to law.
This Indenture made this fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand and eight hundred and forty seven.
Between George Fredrick Langille of the River John in the County of Pictou, Farmer,
of the one part, and
Nathan Langille, of River John, of the other part.
Witnesseth,that the said George Fredrick Langille for and in
consideration of the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia
to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Nathan Langille at or
before the sealing and delivery of these presents.
The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged.
Hath granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed, released, and confirmed, and
by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, release, convey
and confirm unto the said Nathan Langille, his heirs, executors,
administrators, and assigns forever all that certain lot or parcel of
land situate, lying and being in the Settlement of River John aforesaid
abutted, bounded and described as follows: viz.
Beginning on the east side of the Main Road, at a stake,
the north-east angle of William Langille's house lot,
and running thence west fifteen chains to a stake on the north east boundary
of David Langille's farm lot,
thence north 45 degrees west along said boundary line 16 chains,
thence east eighteen chains to the north western of a lot of land
conveyed to James C. Nash,
thence south along said lot four chains and
sixty links to the southwestern angle of said lot,
thence east on said lot seven chains and forty links to the west side
of then main road aforesaid,
and thence south along the same six chains and forty links to the place of beginning.
Containing 19 acres, more or less.
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises with
all the buildings thereon and there unto belonging, or in any wise
appertaining thereto to him the said Nathan Langille, his heirs,
executors, administrators and assigns to his and their only use benefit
and behoof forever.
And the said George Fredrick Langille hereby binds himself,
his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to warrant and
defend the said Nathan Langille, his heirs, executors, administrators
and assigns in the peaceful and quiet possession of the above conveyed
premises forever.
In witness whereof the said Fredrick Langille has here unto his name
subscribed and seal affixed the day and year first above and before written.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Deed of Indenture from
the therein named Nathan Langille the sum of twenty pounds, being in
full the consideration therein mentioned.
