TANNER, Mildred Evelyn - 80, Lunenburg, passed away December 25, 2005, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Lunenburg,
she was a daughter of the late Carl and Geneva (Corkum) Wagner.
In earlier years, she and her first husband, Aubrey Gerald Langille, operated a bakery in Lunenburg and then she went to take her nursing assistant course and was employed at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital and Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
Mildred was an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg, where over the years she was a member of the church choir, and the Talent Club. Involved within her community, she was a member of Fishermen's Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Bluenose Senior Citizens Club. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda and her husband David Mosher, Oakville, Ont.; Krisanne and her husband Peter Collins, Toronto, Ont.; stepdaughter-in-law, Pauline Tanner and her family of Lunenburg; grandchildren, Kylie, Kirk, Micaela, and Adrienne; sister, Charlotte Falkenham, Lunenburg.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Aubrey Langille; second husband, Rayburn Tanner, and stepson, Bruce Tanner.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg, with visiting Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Kenneth Wild officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
