LUNENBURG -- Mary K. "Kitty" (McKevitt) Langille, 76, of Cove Road, died on Tuesday, April 1, in the HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster.

She was born in Melrose on May 9, 1931, a daughter of the late George and Rebecca (Wilson) McKevitt and lived on Lunenburg since 1955. She was a graduate of Malden High School.

Mrs. Langille was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in U.S. Air Force. In 1970, she joined the U.S. Army reserves and served with for more than 20 years. Kitty worked several years at Hanscom Field in the procurement division.

She was a member of the Lunenburg American Legion Post 283; she also served as a past Worcester County Commander and two-term past District 1 Commander. She was a department advisor for the Sons of the American Legion and served on the Detachment Advisory. She was the area representative for Boys and Girls State. Kitty was a member of the United Parish of Lunenburg and volunteered as a Sunday school teacher for several years. She was a member of the Community Council.

Her husband, Leon W. Langille, died in 2007.
She leaves a son, Kevin L. Comer of Lunenburg;
two daughters, Norma J. Comer of Farmers Branch, Texas,
and Rebecca J. Lincoln and her husband, Donald, of Greenville, N.H.;
three grandchildren, Jessica L. Pride and her husband, Randy, Nathan M. Lincoln and Matthew A. Comer;
a great-grandson, Jonas T. Pride;
two stepdaughters, Joanne Fraser and her husband, Jean "John", of Candia, N.H., and Janice Arsenault and her husband, Omer, of Gardner;
two stepsons, Charles Langille and his wife, Linda, of New Ipswich, N.H.,
and Paul Langille and his wife, Teresa, of Virginia Beach, Va.;
12 stepgrandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nephews nieces and cousins.
Aside from her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Aaron R. Comer, who died in 1968.
