Mary E. Langille (nee Solosky)
February 23, 1914 - May 15, 2002
Mary E. (Solosky) Langille, 88, of Newington, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, (May 15, 2002) at Rutland Regional Hospital, Rutland, VT.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph G.K. Langille.
Born in Hartford, one of 13 children to the late Peter Solosky and Mary (Lucas) Solosky,
she was a lifelong Newington resident and a member of St. Mary's Church.
She retired as president of Reliable Electric Motor Inc., of Hartford.
Mrs. Langille was an avid gardener and music lover and spent much time with her family in Vermont and Nova Scotia.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother,
she leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cynde Langille of Marlborough;
her daughter, Claudine Langille and Rod Ferrell of Belmont, VT;
daughter-in-law, Ethel Matthews of Old Saybrook;
five grandchildren and spouses, Laurine and Christopher Boyle of Newport, RI,
Jerry and Lisa Langille of Newington,
Brian Langille and his fiancee Marilyn Kirk of New York City, NY,
Donna and Christopher Gosselin of Old Saybrook,
and Denise Matthews of Newport News, VA;
five great grandchildren, Kenny, Matt, and Katie Langille, and Christina and Camron Gosselin.
She also leaves a brother, Joseph Solosky of Newington;
five sisters, Jeannette Koczera, Caroline Regina, and Doris Bell, all of Newington,
Irene Soltys of Hartford, and Lorraine Solosky of West Hartford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Kenny Langille;
a brother; and five sisters.
Her funeral service will be Monday, 9:15 a.m., from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington,
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, 2-5 p.m., at Newington Memorial.
