LANGILLE, Walter Murray -92, of Durham, Pictou County,
passed away April 5, 2012 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born November 11, 1919 in West Branch,
he was the eldest son of the late Victor and Christina (Murray) Langille.
Murray worked most of his life on the family farm in West Branch,
and for the Department of Highways.
He was active in his community and was recognized for his service, faithful attendance and dedication;
as a director of Scotsburn Co-op, and also as a member of West Branch United Church,
Durham Men�s Club, and the I.O.O.F. Lodge.
He moved to Durham, on the Rockfield Road in 1980, where he resided until his death.
Murray was a fine gentleman and will be sadly missed by his second wife, Winnie (Hemmings) (Turple) Langille and family,
four stepchildren, Rita (Scott) Falconer, Elmfield; Rose (Jim) DeWolfe, Dartmouth; Vincent (Judy) Turple, Scotsburn; Jim (Jo Anne) Turple, Hardwood Hill;
sister-in-law, Elizabeth Langille, West Branch;
nieces, Lorraine (A.J. Jones) Langille , Pictou;
Beverley (Rob Coalett) Langille, River John; Marilyn (John) Bigney, West Branch;
Michelle (Frank Boudreau) Wells, Dartmouth; Glenda (Herb) Waller,
and nephew Robert Cornell, both of Ontario.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Ethel Blakie;
brother, George Langille;
sister, Jessie Cornell.
Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 PM Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
Funeral will take place 11:00 AM Monday from St. James Anglican Church, Pictou,
with Rev. Bill White officiating.
A reception will follow in the church hall.v Burial will be in Durham Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the St. James Anglican Church.
