LANGILLE, Leslie Ronald - 58, Londonderry Station,
passed away March 7, 2008, at home
after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Truro, August 29, 1949,
he was a son of the late Lawrence and Rhoda (MacLellan) Langille.
Les spent his childhood and school years in the Londonderry and Bass River area.
He ventured out west in 1976, spending 10 years living in Calgary
and returning to Nova Scotia in 1986 to reside in his family homestead in Londonderry Station.
Les was employed by Pye's Chevrolet in Truro since that time.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 106, Debert.
His leisure interests included softball, golf, bowling,
and most recently his passion was bass fishing.
Les was a kind and thoughtful person with a sincere loyalty
and sense of humour that put others at ease.
His most enjoyable times were spent with his loved ones and his close friends.
He also valued the friendship of his many team mates,
coworkers, neighbours and acquaintances.
Les was an honest and loyal friend who enjoyed the simple things in life.
He is survived by his treasured and devoted partner, Karen Flynn;
younger brother and best friend, Douglas (Libby) Langille, Truro;
nieces, Amanda Langille (Zach Higgins), Truro, and Sarah Langille, Edmonton, Alta.
He is also survived by his extended family, Troy and Josie Donkin, Halifax;
Karen's sons, Danny (Rachel), Jason and Scott Flynn,
and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his stepfather, Jim Barclay.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, from 7-9 p.m.
with a memorial service on Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m.,
both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
Donations in Leslie's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Colchester Regional Hospital or Victorian Order of Nurses.
