Wallace Glenmore Langille

Relatives and friends here were saddened to receive the news of the death of
Wallace G. Langille, Athol, MA, d. Sept 5th in Athol Memorial Hospital.
Born 64 years ago in Newburne, Lunenburg Co.,
son of Soloman & Victoria (Powers) Langille.
Besides his widow, the former Prudence Taylor,
he leaves a daughter, Mrs. LaVerne DuBois of Newton, Mass;
three brothers, Charles of Middleton, USA;
Enos of Farmington (Lunenburg County);
Josh of Newburne (Lunenburg County);
Mrs. Ida Zinck of Chester, N.S.;
and four grandchildren.
Mr. Langille was a nightwatchman at L.B. Starret Co. for 16 years.
Previously he worked for 25 years at the Mount Herman School, Northfield.
He was a member of Turner's Fall Baptist Church.
The funeral service was held from Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Lester White of Northfield officiating.
Beautiful floral tributs were silent testimony of the esteem
in which Mr. Langille was held by a host of relatives and friends.

Prudence Ellen Langille (nee Taylor)
May 23, 1906 - February 3, 1986

Prudence Ellen (Taylor) Langille, 79, of 49 Shore Drive, Athol, Mass.,
died Monday, February 3, 1986, in Braemore East Nursing home, Marlboro,
where she had been a patient for a month. Previously she was hospitalized since August.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace, in 1964.
She is survived by a daughter, LaVerne, wife of Richard Dubois of Newton, Mass.;
five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Prudence was born in Farmington, Nova Scotia,
the daughter of the late Ralph and Miriam (Webber) Taylor,
and she was predeceased by three brothers, MacLearn, Caleb, and Richard.

She had lived in Athol 33 years and
she was a member of Athol-Orange Baptist Church.

Donations went to establish a Memorial Piano Fund at the Barss Corner Baptist Church,
because of the family ties linking her to that church,
and in respect of her love for her native province which she visited almost every summer.

Funeral services were held at Higgins Funeral Home in Athol
on February 5, 1986, with burial at Silver Lake Cemetery.
