LANGILLE, Mrs. Charles Liscomb Mills, Guysboro Co., January 6, 1936-
This community was saddened today by the sudden death of Mrs. Charles Langille,
one of the best known and most highly esteemed residents in the district.
A victim of a heart attack, Mrs. Langille died in her 62nd year.
She was the wife of Charles Langille,
whose record of more than 50 years hunting
distinguishes him as one of the oldest guides in Nova Scotia.
Before her marriage Mrs. Langille was Matilda Mailman,
daughter of the late William and Charlotte Mailman of Liscomb Mills
and all her life was spent in this community.
Surviving her besides her husband,
are two sons and six daughters.
The sons are John at home and
James in Halifax.
The daughters are Bessie, wife of Ald. W. A. Gates, Halifax;
Nona, Mrs. Wilfred Martel, Rockdale, C. B.;
Leona, wife of Captain Lester Gruber, Fort Benjamin, Harrison, Indiana, U.S.A.;
Ethel, Mrs. Walter Fleet, Ecum Secum;
Hazel, Mrs. John Andrews, Halifax
and Miss Hanna Langille of Halifax.
