Orman Garfield Langille, 82, of Haliburton Road, Pictou, passed away May 2, 2007 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Williamsdale, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Charlotte (Ripley) Langille. A plumber by trade, Orman started work in the Pictou Shipyard during the war years. He was employed with H.L. Misener Construction, Dartmouth, and retired from Canadian Forces Base Shearwater. After retirement they returned to Pictou County, moving to Durham, before settling in Pictou. He is survived by sons, Garfield �Gary� (Maureen Haas) Langille, Ottawa; John �Jack� (Melda) Langille, Jeddore; grandchildren, Anne Marie (Paul) Fortin, Ottawa; Michael Langille, Dartmouth; Lisa (Lee) Gaetz, West Petpeswick; great grandchildren, Philip, Maax and Katie; sisters, Rhoda, Truro; Dorothy, Wentworth Valley; brothers, Herman, Ronald, Keith, all of Truro. Orman was predeceased by his wife, Florence Marie (Baillie); brothers, Gerald and Neil. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in West Branch Cemetery, with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
