Lavina Jean Langille, 92, of Edward Mortimer Place, Pictou,
formerly of Scotch Hill, died Saturday, Apr. 9 at Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Charlotte (Redmond) Cotter.
She was a member of Lyons Brook United Church. She is survived by two daughters, Eileen (Mrs Siebert Falconer), Three Brooks; Ruth (Mrs George Falconer), Sundridge; three sons, Alvin, Scotch Hill; Edgar, Poplar Hill; Ergil, Lorne, Pictou County; two sisters, Stella (Mrs Charles Jollymore), Pictou; Mrs Nina Bailley, Scotsburn; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; a sister, Florence. Funeral was held Monday, Apr. 11, in McLaren's Funeral Home, Pictou, Rev. Don Crooks officiating. Burial was in Scotch Hill Cemetery.

April 1980. Scotch Hill - Frederick James LANGILLE, 81, of Scotch Hill,
died Sunday in Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou.
Born at River John,
he was a son of the late John and Annie (MacKENZIE) LANGILLE.
He was a retired farmer and lumberman, and was a member of Lyon's Brook United Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Lavina Jean COTTER,
two daughters, Eileen (Mrs. Sievert FALCONER), Three Brooks;
Ruth (Mrs. George FALCONER), Sunridge;
three sons, Alvin, Scotch Hill; Ergil, Lorne; Edgar, Poplar Hill;
a brother, Gordon, Vancouver;
six sisters, Mrs. Bell MATHESON, Vancouver; Mrs. Beatrice KREGOR, Washington; Mrs. Dorothy MATTATALL, Tatamagouche;
Maud and Gertie, both of Ontario; Anna, Truro;
16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers.
The body is in the McLAREN Funeral Home, Pictou,
where funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Rev. Stanley MacQUEEN officiating.
Burial will be in Scotch Hill Cemetery.
