OLIVER JOSEPH (JOE) LANGILLE, 78, of Oliver, Colchester County,
died Thursday at home.
Born in Central New Annan,
he was a son of the late King and Hannah (LANGILLE) LANGILLE.
He was an employee of the Pictou County Home for the Disabled, Riverton, for 10 years until his retirement.
He was previously worked as a woodsman and a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, the former Florence MATHESON;
a son, Ross, Linacy;
three daughters, Freda, at home;
Frances (Mrs. Eugene DAVIDSON), Brandon, Man.;
Diane (Mrs. Leigh PORTEOUS), Oliver,
two sisters, Mrs. Ada MURRAY, Tatamagouche Mountain;
Mrs. Ola SUTHERLAND, The Falls;
five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Harry, Burton, Leonard, Lloyd and Theodore.
The body is in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Sharon United Church,
Rev. Paul PUTMAN officiating,
and Rev. Morley BENTLEY assisting.
Burial will be in Tatamagouche Mountain Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche
or the Canadian Cancer Society.
