LANGILLE, Margaret Anne "Marg" -67, Truro.
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved family member and friend.
Marg passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 15, 2010,
in Colchester Regional Hospital surrounded by family.
Born in Truro,
she was a daughter of the late Smith and Mabel (Matheson) O'Connell.
Marg spent most of her working career working at Fraser's Pharmacy in Bible Hill and later in life moved on to the hotel industry. Marg was an avid bingo and card player and loved to garden. She survived by her husband, Walter; son, Ancel; daughter, Heidi (Alicia Benton); sisters, Kay (Henry) Shand and Alice (Ivan) McKenna; several nieces, nephews and cousins. We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to neighbours, Pat Cook and Kathy Kaulback and close family friend, Richard Edison for their care and concern and for keeping an ever so watchful eye over Marg for the last few years of her life. Special thanks also to the nurses of the 3rd floor of the Colchester Regional Hospita for the compassionate care given to Marg for the last few weeks. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, memorial service at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 20, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home,512 Willow St., Truro with Rev, Sue King Darby officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross, Nova Scotia Region, Disaster Management Program or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
