5 Langille Signatures

These are the signatures of the 5 original Langille brothers & cousins,
who came to Nova Scotia from Montbeliard.

The first David Langille (1721-1753) sailed on the "Betty",
he and Leopold (1728-1817), who also sailed on the Betty were brothers.

The second David Langille signature, is the David that I list as being born 1715/16,
(others may have a slightly different year of birth for him),
he sailed on the "Sally", along with his son Jean Jacques (John James) b. c1736.
*At least I think this signature is of his son, he also had a step son,
Jean Jacques Langille, b. c1743, and this could be his signature."

Matthias Langille (1724-1800), sailed on the Sally as well,
he is the brother of David Langille 1715/16-1804.

"These signatures are from the list of names in the
Indebtedness Lists of Passengers by John Dick's Ships
from Rotterdam to Halifax, 1750, 1751, and 1752.
The original lists are held in London, England.
These images were taken from Photostats held at the
Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management MG vol 113 p.112-134."

Many thanks to Chris Young for sharing them with us.
