The earliest known ancestor of this line, Bradley Berry, was born about 1735, possibly in Hanover County, Virginia. The first record for him is a 1767 deed to purchase 118 acres in Albemarle County, Virginia. Bradley Berry first married Ann (possibly WOODS) and they had the following known children: William Woods Berry, George Berry (m. Sarah Clack), Nancy Berry (m. James Reynolds), Mary Berry (m. Jesse Baber), Betsy Berry (m. James Horner) and Rebecca Berry. On November 29, 1781, Bradley Berry married Elizabeth Fields in Albemarle County, Virginia. A known child from this marriage was Franklin Berry. Bradley Berry's will was dated August 17, 1787, and he was deceased by February, 1795, when it was offered for probate in Albemarle County, Virginia. September 26, 2006
