The first record found for Samuel Berry in Charles Co., Maryland, was on October 2, 1704, when as "Dr. Samuel Berry, of Charles County, Province of Maryland, Gent," he purchased 600 acres of land named "Hull" from Stephen and Mary Cawood.
Children of Dr. Samuel Berry were: Elizabeth Berry (c1700); Anne Berry (c1701); William Berry (c1703-1732 - married Esther, possibly Wakefield); Humphrey Berry (c1705-1722 - married [1] Mary Smallwood, [2] Ann Lovejoy); Samuel Berry (c1718-1776 - married Anne Thomas); Sarah Berry (?- ? - married John Robey III). There may have been other children.
