Isaac (or possibly James Isaac) Berry, the earliest known ancestor of this line was born about 1710, and lived predominantly in the Richmond and/or Whitehall, Virginia area. His wife was named Ann (Unknown). Their only known son, John Berry (c1740-c1810), migrated to that part of Anson Co., North Carolina that became Chesterfield Co., South Carolina. John Berry’s known children were John Berry (married unknown Polk), German Berry (married Susanna Bailes) and David Berry (married Rebecca Vines), all three of whom migrated to Mississippi between 1810 to 1819.
