The earliest known ancestor in this line is John Berry who can be found on the 1800 Chesterfield Co., South Carolina census. Four of his known children, John [Jr.], German, David, and Jemima (married to John Shivers) migrated to Mississippi after 1810. John Berry [Jr] and German Berry died in Simpson Co., Mississippi in the early 1830s. David Berry died in Rankin Co., Mississippi.
