The earliest known ancestor of this line is John Berry who was born between 1770 and 1780 in Virginia. John was married to Susan(nah) Unknown. This couple can first be documented in Fairfield and Crawford (now Wyandott) counties, Ohio, in 1820 and 1830. Two known children of this couple were Elizabeth Berry, born circa 1820 in Ohio, married to Alexander Lowmaster, and George Washington Berry, born 1 February 1809 in Ohio. George Washington Berry resided most of his life in Allen Township, Noble County, Indiana, with his wife, Magdalena Bixler. Descendants of this line can be found in Arizona, Oklahoma, Missouri, Michigan, Iowa, Washington, Oregon and California.
