Peter Berry, the earliest known ancestor of this line, was born about 1730 in Boston, Massachusetts. On 11 March 1755, he married Margaret Cabler (Kublinger/Kublings) in Boston. Their children were: Jacob Berry, b. c 1756; Peter Berry, b. c 1758; Nicholas Berry, b. c 1760; Henry Henrich Berry, b. 28 Dec 1761 in Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania; Conrad Berry, b. 4 April 1763; Anna Maria Barbara Berry, b. 11 March 1767; John Berry, b. 4 June 1769; Philip Berry, b. 1776; and Maria Margaret Berry, b. c 29 July 1779. In about 1785 in North Lebanon Township, Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania, Peter Berry married his second wife, Maria Noacre. They had two children, Eva Catherine Berry, b. 19 May 1783, and Christina Berry, b. c 1785. Some descendants settled in Centre and Huntingdon counties, Pennsylvania. Peter Berry’s father was possibly also named Peter Berry and is believed to have originated in Alsace-Lorraine.
