John Daniel married Catherine Couch in Orange Co., North Carolina 28 December 1814. They first appear in Sumner Co., Tennessee, in the 1840 U. S. Census with what appears to be one son and three daughters. John wrote his will in 1849 and died in 1850. His will mentions his three daughters but there is no mention of the son. The son may have died prior to John writing his will. Catherine is last known to be living with her daughter Frances who is also a widow in Logan Co., Kentucky, in the 1870 U. S. Census.

I am anxious to hear from anyone who may have information on the ancestry of John Daniel and Catherine Couch or any addional information on any of their descendants. Also, if anyone finds any errors or questionable information here please let me know.
