  Brown of Port Logan, and Kirkmaiden
   
Janet Brown of Port Logan, Kirkmaiden parish in Wigtownshire was born in 1845. In 1866, she married John Andrew Gibson, of Sandnook, Kirkmaiden parish. They moved to Glasgow, where most of their children were born. At the time of her death, in 1912, she had moved back to Drummore, in Kirkmaiden.

Robert Brown, of parish unknown, married Janet Hannah, born 1745, daughter of Samuel Hannah and Martha Main, in Kirkmaiden, Wigtownshire. Their children:

  • William, born 1779 married Elizabeth Taylor, born 1782
  • Alexander, born 1782, married Margaret Taylor

Alexander Brown, born 1782, in Kirkmaiden, married in 1806, Margaret Taylor. I have some suspicion that Margaret Taylor is actually Margaret McSaldroch. However, that is still unproven. Their children:
