John Charles ELLIOTT, born abt. 1862, of Pembroke Docks, Pembrokeshire, married Elizabeth Jane WAKEHAM. They had 14 children. John Charles was a butcher and stable owner in Pembroke Docks, and according to a newspaper article of the period, the county penny-farthing cycling champion. We have a picture of him, in August 1902, driving the royal party of King Edward VII, Queen Alexandra and Princess Victoria, through Pembroke on the start of a trip to Pembroke Castle, Monkton Priory Church and St. Govan's. He died relatively young, at age 50, in Port Talbot, Glamorgan, Wales. His family history follows.
