Descendants of Duncan de Carrick

11. David¹¹ Kennedy, 3rd Lord Kennedy (John¹⁰, Gilbert⁹, James⁸, Gilbert⁷, John⁶, Gilbert⁵de Carrick, Gilbert⁴, Roland³, Nicol,², Duncan¹) was born circa 1460.⁵² He married Agnes Borthwick before 1490.⁵³ He died in 1513; killed at Flodden Field.⁵⁴

He was created Earl of Casssillis; had charters to lands and baronies of Cassillis, Dunure, Girvan, Glennop and Leswalt after 1508.⁵⁵

12. Janet (Jane)¹¹ Kennedy (John¹⁰, Gilbert⁹, James⁸, Gilbert⁷, John⁶, Gilbert⁵de Carrick, Gilbert⁴, Roland³, Nicol,², Duncan¹) was born circa 1476 Dunure, Ayrshire, Scotland.⁵⁹ She married James lV Stewart King of SCOTLAND, son of James lll Stewart King of SCOTLAND and Margarethe (--?--) Queen of SCOTLAND, on 8 Aug 1503 Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.⁶⁰ She died after 1525, Scotland.⁶¹

She was was styled Lady Bothwell, lived in Bothwell Castle; she was later mistress to James IV and by him had James, Earl of Moray after 1485.

There were no children of Janet (Jane)¹¹ Kennedy and Archibald (--?--) 5th Earl of Angus.
