My interest in the Foxall (Foxhall) name arose as it was my Maternal Grandmothers maiden name, Louisa Foxall, and she was born in Tredegar, Monmouthshire in South Wales.

I made contact with two third cousins, one in Australia and one in England, who started off this obsession.

Cousin Pat Green from Milton Keynes, had started transcribing the St Catherines House Indexes of Births, Deaths and Marriages, and she kindly shared her work with me, which led me to about 2 years of additional work completing the transcription from 1837 to 1992.

Contributions to these Databases have been made by Pat Green, Jane Donovan, Daryl Povey, Harold Devey, Mary Ellen Gilbert, Cathy Cransford-Ailstock, Gordon Hunter, Roy Delo, Sue Brien, Ann Chadwick, Anita Jay, Kim Foxall, Les Bryant and Hazel Knabe. My thanks to all of them for sharing their information with me and the World.

Notes on reading the tables

The tables are arranged in Name, date and place of Birth, Fathers name, Mothers name, date and place of Baptism, Date and place of Marriage, name of Spouse, date and place of Death, age at Death. Where there is more than one record for an event, I have included all records.

Generally I have arranged the information in Chronological order, the main exception is I have inserted Marriage records 20 years before the actual date, to help to tie together births and marriages.

Months in BLUE refer to the 4 quarters of the year, Mar (Jan Feb Mar), Jun (Apr May Jun), Sep (Jul Aug Sep), Dec (Oct Nov Dec). This applies to records taken from the St Catherines House Index to Births, Deaths and Marriages. In these cases the place of registration is the registration district to which application can be made for copies of the FULL certificates. Cost £7 plus Stamped Addressed Envelope or postage.

WARNING

There WILL be errors in this table, as the information has been transcribed 4 or 5 times. Also I have tried to connect Births, Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths. Inevitably I will have got it wrong here and there, so remember to check out the information for yourself, and just use these pages as a potential shortcut.

If I have got it wrong, then please let me know as I would welcome any corrections.

I am trying to make these pages as comprehensive as possible, please let me have any information on Foxall events that I don't have. Thanks..
