Looking for ADELIZA LEWIS born in York County, PA July 19, 1810 to Pamela Lewis and Joseph Lewis. Pamela Lewis was the daughter of Eli Lewis (Major in Rev. War) and Pamela Webster. Adeliza married Issac Toland who was born in York County, PA February 2, 1808. I don't know where they married - have found no record of it - and their kids were born in Coshocton, Ohio. The kids were George Dunbar, Lewis, Webster, Caroline and William.
Searching for the family of Issac Toland. Searching for the records of the couple's movement from York County, PA to Coshocton, Ohio and then at least George and William (Willis) ended up in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri.

ALFRED LEWIS married Sarah SIMS 31 July 1834, Wake Co., NC with Lewis R Poole bondsman. In the 1850 census their children were James J. age 13, Gilly P. age 11, Valprasio age 7, Josiah B. age 6, Alfred W. age 4, and Sarah the wife, 34. Alfred is not listed. My elusive Lewis ancestor was CHARLES LEWIS b. in Ga ca 1802 (probably in Bullock Co. He married Nancy Riley somewhere in GA and migrated to LA in 1858. He sold his land in Early Co. to Archibald Lewis in 1839 and moved to Dale Co. and was listed on the 1840 census; in 1850 he is in Coffee Co., Ala--I found in Elba, Ala that he sold his land in Coffee on January 14, 1857 and began his treck to LA.

I believe he descends from one of James Lewis's in Bullock Co. GA since he named his oldest son James Innis or Ennis, his second son (my great grandfather) William Wiley and his third son John Henry.

Who were his parents and who were the parents of Nancy Riley--she was born in NC in ca 1810?

I am trying to find CHARLES KEMPER LEWIS Born: ?? Died: 1918 in Keokuk, Iowa, Lee Co. He married Alice Melvina Davis abt 1899. She was born November 17, 1883 and died in Aug/1929 in Kahoka, Mo. She had remarried after Charley passed away. She married Orville Blaine. It stated in her obit that he was from Platte City, Mo., but I am coming to a dead end. i can't seem to find any of the census's that he may be in. AR states that his father was b. in England, his mother in Scotland (I do not know their names or place or Residence in KY) Charles was 57 years old when he m. Amanda M. Hurst b. 1843 TN. they had one dau. Sarah, My grandmother, b. 1874 Anderson TW Benton Co. AR. Charles d. c 1885 Benton Co. AR. This was most likely a second marriage for Charles. Any information about this man or suggestions as to his identity appreciated. Family sources state he had two sisters who were missionaries to China.
