PENELOPE LEWIS I'm looking for information on the parents of Penelope LEWIS (b. 20 Apr 1814 in Madison Co., KY) who married Solomon Jefferson HARRIS. I believe that her parents were Greenberry and Elizabeth (Betsy) LEWIS and her brother was William LEWIS who married Rebecca SUBLETTE (1/2 sister of Solomon J. HARRIS). I think that Elizabeth LEWIS's father may have been Aaron LEWIS, and her siblings were Hannah, Rachel, Sally and Adam. Betsy LEWIS later married Chester/Jesse EAGY/AGEE. I would like much more information on this family and also some assurance that the information I have is correct. Was Aaron LEWIS the same Aaron LEWIS that was at Boonesborough? Thank you. PETER LEWIS, d. c. 1801, Spartanburg Co. SC. Rev. War SC. Sons, Ephriam, George, (both Rev. War SC), Isaac, Abe A. and daugs. Margaret (Peggy) and Mary (Polly). Would like to know if anyone has done research on this family? Need to know who Peter's wife was. In "Colony of NC, Abstracts of Land Patents", Vol II, Book 17; p. 142, Peter Lewis, 16 Nov 1764, 300 acres Craven lower side Mosleys Ck. joing his own line, Moses Tilman, both sides Harry's branch & (a point) nigh the edge of a Pocason. REBECCA LEWIS, born ca. 1812, PA. Married Presley Morris, Sr., born 1803 Greene Co., Pa. Marriage 15 Nov 1832, possibly Rush County, IN. 1850 Hanover Twp, Shelby Co., IN census shows her as age 38. Presley is supposedly buried in Boone Co., IN. Date of death unknown. Her date of death and burial place are also unknown. Was she also from Greene Co., PA? Who were her parents?

Please list RICHARD LEWIS. He is listed in the 1910 Jackson Co GA Census living in Maysville, GA, with John Taylor White as a farm hand. His age is listed as 60 and he is listed as widowed. On July 13, 1910, he married Minnie Bell from Maysville, GA and had two children, Sharp and Ruth. Sharp was born 5-20-1911 and died 12-31-1982. No dates on Ruth. Richard died 12-25-1931 and is buried at Wilson's Methodist in Jackson Co GA in an unmarked grave. Richard probably had a family by his first marriage to Unknown. According to the family Bible, Richard was born in 1843.

My g-g-grandfather, ROBERT A. LEWIS was born in Ill @ 1838, but was in Pope Co. Ark in 1860, and in Pope Co, Ark in 1870 & 1880. He married Arabella Rogers, & I cannot find them on any census after 1880(He was only 39 at that time). They had John H. Lewis in 1867(d in 1921 & buried in Little Rock, Ark.Alice Lutushia(b 1870-1916) was my g-grandmother & she married Thoimas Madison Mayes. Robert & Lutalso had Martha C. in 1873, and David, who was born in 1880& living with the Mayes on 1900 census. If you should have any info on this family, would appreciate a response. Thanks,

Some children were married in OH, some in Rush Co, IN, later moved to KS where Anna d. Nov 18, 1882. He m. Their children, James E., William E., Nancy Jane, B. H., Margaret Ann, Lydia, John R., Milton, Elizabeth, Samuel, C. B., Jesse A., David N., and George M., were born in Laurel Co., KY, between 1826 and 1852.
