WALTER LEWIS born abt 1770 Marshall County, Virginia then lived in Green County, Pennsylvania before moving to Gallia County, Ohio.Had one child that we know of James A. Lewis who married a Rebecca McNerlin Daughter of William Mcnerlin Land records in Marshall Co., WV show that Walter Lewis & his wife Rhoda sold their land (100 acres) in Marshall Co. on 11 Apr 1848. In the deed they are described as being "of Gallia Co. Ohio." Since Rhoda is a widow living with James and Rebecca Lewis on the 1850 census, Walter must have died between the date of the deed and the date the census was taken. It is unfortunate that there is no mortality census for Gallia Co. in 1850, but I hope to find some probate records.

WILLIAM LEWIS, b. 1821 in St Weonards, Hereford, England. His wife was Sarah LEAVER and they had 9 children I decended from Sarah Ann. WILLIAM A. LEWIS b. 1810 in New York (according to 1850 census) went to Canada with his parents as a child Married Mary Ann AIKMAN in Ontario, Canada and had his first child Matilda Jane born in 1837 in New London, Ontario, Canada. Went to Scott Co. Iowa about 1840 and d. in Iowa betweeen 1850 and 1860.I want to know who his parents are. It could be Archibald who lived in Canada and a son born in 1810.Vivian Drake
I am a descendant of WILLIAM ALEXANDER LEWIS born about 1851 in Pennsylvania and died July 30, 1917 in Indiana, Pennsylvania. His spouse was Nancy Malissa (Nannie) Shields. She was born March 16, 1857 in Covode, Pennsylvania, died February 24, 1943 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Their children are George S Lewis, Thomas Edward Lewis , Laura J Lewis, Stephen P Lewis, Don Walter Lewis, and William Alexander Lewis, Jr. Don Walter is my maternal grandfather.
I do believe that William Alexander Lewis was either a space alien or a

WILLIAM PAGE LEWIS. Came to America in 1703 from Barcelona, Spain, with brothers ROBERT and DAVID. Went to Fort Pitt (Pittsburgh) where they changed their original last name from LOPEZ (LOPAZ?) to LEWIS. At Fort Pitt they separated. ROBERT went down on the Ohio River. DAVID went to New York state (and was lost track of). WILLIAM founded LEWISTON, VA. (in Spottsylvania County). William's grandson was born in 1808. I have no name for him, but it is known that he was a sea captian. He married ACHSA DOWNER in 1837. (I have no location, but I suspect it is still Va.) Their son was born Jan. 12, 1848. He too is WILLIAM PAGE LEWIS, my great, great grandfather. The family moved to Saginaw, Mich., in 1865. He married ALICE GRAY in March 1881and they settled in Ashtabula, Ohio. They bore three children: WILLIAM PAGE (no children), PETER ADDISON (my grandfather) and ACHSA (one daughter). PETER was born in 1890. He married THERESA MARIE SCHAFFER in Columbus, Ohio, in June 1910. They had two children: MARIE, born Aug. 11, 1912 and WILLIAM PAGE (my father), born Nov. 26, 1914. Looking for information on WILLIAM PRINCETON LEWIS or unknown parents. William Princeton Lewis born March 18,1834 He married Elizabeth Fox 09/18/1864. in Smith co. Tenn. He then married Mary Frances Feagan 1877 still in Tenn ,maybe smith co. One child , My grandfather , was born to this marriage . His name was Hezekiah Princeton Lewis born March 31, 1879. He only remembered seeing his father once when he was 4 or 5. We have the death for William as being March 11, 1884 in smith co, Tenn. Removal of graves from Cordell Lake area to Gainsboro, Jackson Co, Tenn.
