Services for Mrs. Lessie V. Moody, 71, of West Monroe will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home chapel in West Monroe. Burial will be in Bosco Cemetery.

Mrs. Moody died Thursday, Feb 14, 1985 at E. A. Conway Hospital.

Survivors include four daughters, Evelyn McCarty, Kitty Hasley, Terri Jean Sharbono and Elaine Partin, all of West Monroe; three brothers, L. E. Lowery, Earl Lowery, and Jimmy Lowery, all of West Monroe. Two sisters, Effie Boyett of Bosco and Ludie Howard of Grayson; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Redfern, Larry Hasley, Michael Brister, Jamie Nivens, Jerry Nivens and Frank Perot.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Effie Patton Boyett, 84, of Monroe, died Saturday, December 30, 1989, at Citizens Medical Center of Columbia Heights.

Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday Jan. 1 at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Julius Russell, officiating.Burial followed in Bosco Cemetery of Bosco under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Survivors include her husband, Chester C. Boyett of Monroe; three sons, A. J. Patton of West Monroe, Truitt E. Patton of Hebert and Ellis Patton of West Monroe; two brothers, Earl Lowery and James Lowery, both of West Monroe; and a sister, Ludie Howard of Olla.

Pallbearers were Bernard Denison, Donnie Patton, Jimmy Denison, Henry Phillips, Dennis Patton and Scotty McMillon.

On yesterday at 3:30, the sweet spirit of little James Lowery, one of the little ten month's old twins of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lowery winged its flight to a home eternal.The little one, with his sister has been ill for several weeks with whooping cough and for the past two weeks have been under the constant care of a physician and trained nurse at the Sanitarium, the sister continuing so critically ill that the funeral of little James was held this morning at 10:30 from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Keller, which is conveniently located to the Sanitarium, as Mrs. Lowery could not be spared from her baby girl.

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lowrey have the sympathy of the entire community in the death at 1 o'clock this morning of their baby daughter, Roberta Cosby. The child was one of twins, the other having died some months ago. She was one year and nine months old. The funeral was held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the family home at 417 Layton avenue. Interment was in the city cemetery.

Mr. Lowery was born June 16, 1877 in Louisiana. He is survived by two sons, Aubrey Lowery and Sammy Lowery, both of Baton Rouge, a daughter, Mrs. Frank Eason of Many; two step sons, D. T. Williams of Goldonna and Dewitt Harris of Homer; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mamie Mainis of Goldonna, and five grandchildren.

Andrew Lowery, age about 65 years, died suddenly at five o'clock Monday afternoon of heart failure. Mr. Lowery was stricken while standing in front of his home which is about two miles north of Winnfield.

Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Bob Bevill of Vivian, La., Mrs. Sanders and Andrew Lowery, Jr. of Winnfield. Interment was in the Teagle Cemetery Tuesday. The Rev. A. H. Cullen, pastor of the First Baptist Church conducted the funeral services.

Funeral services for Hatley Lowery, 76 years, 7 months and ten days of age who died at the home of one of his children's on the East side of Dugdemona, April 29, were held at the Teagle Cemetery, Sunday, April 30th, with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, in charge.

The deceased was born in Winn Parish September 30, 1876. He had been a member of the Baptist Church for the past forty-five years and a devout Christian all these years. He was a man kindly and in disposition, and leaves a host of friends. He is survived by the following children: B. D. Lowery, J. A. Lowery, and Mandy Lowery.

Funeral services for Allen Lowery, 83, of Winnfield, who died in a local hospital February 21, were conducted in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, with the Rev. D. W. McDaniel and the Rev. Edgar Gunter officiating.

Burial was in the Teagle Cemetery northwest of Winnfield. Mr. Lowery was a native of Natchitoches Parish but had been a resident of Winn Parish the past 60 years. He made ax and hammer handles for a livelihood. Survivors include a stepson, Jackie Sanders of Saline; and one brother, B. D. Lowery of Joyce; four nephews and four nieces.

Died, Aug. 1, near Cassville, Ga., James Lowry, in the 62nd year of his age. He em- braced religion in early life and joined the M. E. Church, and spent a long and useful life in laboring in the vineyard of his blessed Master. He was recognized as an efficient exhorter in our Church for above twenty years. The powers of his intellect were not impaired by age. He was emphatically a holy man. There was never a stain upon his character. He brought up a large family in fear and admonition of the Lord ; not one of them was ever known to utter a falsehood or drink spirituous liquors. Brother Lowry's example should be followed by every member of the Church of Christ. He lived beloved and died lamented.

Services for Mr. Albert "PeeWee" Lowery, age 68, of West Monroe, LA will be 10 AM Friday, June 1, 2001 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel West Monroe, LA with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Mr. Lowery died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 in West Monroe.

Mr. Lowery was a contractor in Ouachita Parish for 27 years. He was president and a charter member of Big Sandy Hunting Club. Mr. Lowery served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife: Janis Lowery of West Monroe; five children: Kathy Pippin and husband David of Bethpage, TN, Rickey Lowery and wife Kim of Monroe, Tammy Dykes and husband Billy of Monroe, Dianne Oetgen of West Monroe and Shane Lowery of West Monroe; seven grandchildren: Allison Gentry, Rachel Gentry, Shelby Lowery, Taylor Lowery, Vince Guess, Brittany Oetgen, Casey Dykes; a special cousin: Juanita Story; and a host of friends which will miss him dearly.

Pallbearers will be Alfred Bryan, Don Smith, Jeff Smith, Ronald Zuber, Bo Pritchard, Charlie Shingler. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Big Sandy Hunting Club. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM until 9 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Services for Mrs. Mary Lowery, 64, of Dodson, LA will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 24, 2001 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with Rev. Web Goleman and Rev. Author Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Transport Cemetery in Dodson, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Mrs. Lowery died Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. She was a native of Ottawa, KS and a member of the Joyce Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband: Billy Ray Lowery of Dodson, LA; two daughters: Linda Sanders of Dodson, LA; Barbara Polk of West Monroe, LA; sister: Evelyn Cantrell of Modesta, CA; one brother: Robert Garber of Iola, KS; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, Wade Hamilton Lowery, and brothers, Clarence Garber, Jr. , and Harold Garber and her mother, Daisy Wiles.

Pallbearers will be Lyndale Lowery, Donnie Lowery, James McNaughton, Kerry McNaughtonn, Darren Fitzgerald and Lynn James. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday in the funeral home and 9 AM Saturday until services.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA with Rev. Robert Rowland officiating. Interment to be in Natchez City Cemetery in Natchez, MS under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 PM Monday, December 18, 2000 at Young's Funeral Home - Ferriday, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Emily Archer Lowry. Survivors include his wife: Eloise E. Lowry of Ferriday, LA; three sons: Tom Lowry and wife Cheryl of Ferriday, LA, Tim Lowry and wife Gail of Jinnings, LA and Tracey Lowry and wife Yvonne of Jennings, LA; two step sons: John Sullivan of Lafayette, LA and Wayne Sullivan of Ferriday, LA; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
