Know all men by these present that we William Norman and Uphanny Norman his wife of the county of Lincoln and state of Georgia for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid by William Hill of the county and state aforesaid have granted bargained, sold and released and by these present do grant, bargain, sell and release unto said William Hill his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid and bounded as follows (to wit) adjoining David Glaze said Wm Norman and the heirs of Alexander Stinson, deceased containing one hundred and twenty five acres on the waters of Mill Creek except sixteen acres sold and administered to David Glaze, it being a part of a tract of land granted to Thomas Hampton and conveyed from said Hampton to Isaac Mediah together with all and singular the rights & membus hereditary & appertenances to the said premises belonging or in any wist appertaining to have and to hold all said singular the premises before mentioned unto the said William Hill his heirs and assignees forever against ourselves our heirs and all other persons lawfully caliming or to claim the same aor any part thereof. Witness our hands and seals this Twenty sixth day of November one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.

The land was sold in 1814 and was not registered until 1830. Evidently this was done to clear the title after William's death in 1827. David Glaze was William's son-in-law, George was his son.
