HAULIN' In The Family Net by Linda Gray-LeBlanc

Haulin' In The Family Net are genealogy books on small communities in Halifax County. These books are a collection of articles and vital statistics for the years 1749-1900 and includes extracts of birth, marriage and death records, marriage bonds, cemetery records, wills and deeds, census records, newspaper clippings, photos and much more. These records were all copied from sources at the Halifax Public Archives of Nova Scotia.

Book 1 "Haulin' In The Family Net" is on the communities of Sambro, Ketch Harbour, Portuguese Cove, Duncan's Cove and Pennant.

Book 2 "Haulin' In The Family Net is on the communities of Ship Harbour, Owl's Head DeBaie's Cove, Little Harbour, Clam Harbour, Clam Bay and Lake Charlotte.

Book 3 "Haulin' In The Family Net" is on the communities of Terence Bay, Shad Bay, Prospect, Blind Bay and Dover.

Book 4 "Haulin' In The Family Net" is on the communities of Eastern Passage, Cow Bay, Devil's Island, McNab's Island and Lawlor's Island.

Book 5 "Haulin' In The Family Net" is on the communities of Jeddore, Lakeville and Oyster Pond.

Book 6 "Haulin' In The Family Net" is on the communities of Mushaboom, Tangier, Spry Harbour, Pope's Harbour and Murphy's Cove

These books were done to help people start their family tree. In these communities I have found that people didn't move much. Generation after generation have lived in these communities.

For more information on these books they can be seen at the Public Library or the Public Archives of Nova Scotia in Halifax. Please feel free to email me also for information. [email protected]
