A few days ago the house of Rev P HOUGHTON of St James Place , was broken open and robbed of almost every article of table and bed linen, as well as a quantity of other property.
The house had been a short time shut up, the family having been in the country

Last week a fat sheep was killed and stolen from the grounds of Mr ROSKELL at Gateacre.
The head, skin and offal were left on the ground, and the work seemed to have been executed in a butcher like style.
