Anfield Cemetery covers 37 acres

Anfield cemetery-

Liverpool

Please scroll down on left to see Alphabetical Index , and start your search. Anfield Cemetery is one of the largest cemetries in Europe, and is situated close to both football grounds in Liverpool. I used to walk my Staffordshire Bull Terrier , Keizer,  there every day. Until he became agoraphobic, or bone idle, I haven't decided which.

I started to collect memorial inscriptions when I was a member of a number of mailing lists for people looking for their families in Liverpool, and asked members if there were any family surnames they would like me to look for. There are over 300 Memorial Inscriptions online in an easy to search format.

There are also burial records taken from the Burial Registers. To enable more information to be available I started to photograph the headstones. Please look through all 3 sections to see if any members of your family are buried there.

There is now an index to all of the photographs I take daily. This index has over 30,100 names for you to search through. This figure is also added to on a daily basis, so this site will always be under construction.
