LIVERPOOL TOWN BOOK 15 October 1572
This year fyrst died Margarete, dowghter of mayster Rauff Sekerston of this town alderman, and wieffe unto George Raynforth of this towne, and she was buried within [the] chapell of this towne, under the rood looft or sellour, soe quondam callid. Whoose death and buriall, not offendying God Almightie, this recorder in profundo cordis lamentatur quotidie etc. [bewaileth daily from the bottom of his heart, etc.]
This year alsoe Cicill, a younger dowghter of the sayd mayster Rauff Skerston, mayr(es) and wieffe to the right worshipful mayster Thomas Bavand, maior of this towne, died, and right worshipfullie was buried and leyd in the chauncell, before mayster maiors stall and his bretheren, callid Saynct Mar(ies) chauncell.
This yere also died Elsabeth, wyeffe unto the worshipfull mayster Robert Corbet of this towne of Liverpole, alderman, and was worshipfullie buried.
How these thrie rowmes abovesaydes be presentlie, before the daye of this regestrie, viz xiiiio Octobris anno 1572, garnished and completid, to the comforth and rejoice of all theyr well willers, I beseache everie person here redying: thynk noe worse than I doe in the favour off God Almightie.
This yere alsoe died Thomas Sekerston, son and heyre ans onelie sonne of the forsayd the worshipfull mayster Rauff Sekerston. And howe he was buried I knowe not, bicause he died in the Nauntwyeche in the countie of Chestre, and there made his will with his wieffe and John Alixander his father in lawe , etc, not to the best content of his owne derest father, whoe lamentyth inwardlie, etc.
