He was one of the firt businessmen in Curtis, NE when it was firts established
in 1916. He shipped goods to Indianola in the early spring and 1886 &
freighted across before the railroad came. Was in hardware and furniture
business and then in real estate. He later organized Farmers Security Bank
& then the State Bank of Curtis. He lived in Denver, Co. for 7 years &
returned to Curtis in 1915.
