Welcome to my Hedge(s) Roots website . I am in the process of tracing my paternal family tree. It is frustrating , rewarding, challenging and exciting all in one . I have many obstacles that I have not been able to get around , but I�m hoping with time all of the pieces of the puzzle will be complete .
Most of my family currently resides in Ohio. Though my parents and their parents all grew up in Pennsylvania .
A few generations ago , our surname was changed from Hedges to Hedge (without the ). We�re really not sure why this change took place . It has made researching a little harder though. It may have been changed to sound better , simple mistake or lack of education caused a misspelling that continued on . There really is no way to know at this point .
None of my information is etched in stone . There has been no official family documentation before this time . I have used my fathers memory , census records , tons of websites and a lot of other users gedcom files to compile the information that I believe to be correct today.
