Mary Lou Propst Gosnell, 95, of Old Fort was born in Buncombe County Dec. 11, 1910 and left to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 20, 2006. She is preceded in death by her father; John Walter Propst; mother; Hattie Mae Flynn Propst and sister; Dollie Willet; husband; Roy Burns Gosnell. She is survived by her daughter, Bernice Gosnell Moore and husband, Lester Moore; grandchildren, Debbie Moore, Terry Moore and wife, Dana, Tony Moore and wife, Twillia, Jeff Moore and wife, Tiffany, and Greg Moore; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 11 nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother with a beautiful smile and a jolly sense of humor that made everyday worth living. Granny lived her life day by day and made sure God's creatures were taken care of, especially a very special companion named "Tippie." God blessed and touched her life and she in turn touched so many. Granny will be missed so dearly, we thank God for the special angel He sent us. Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Living Waters Tabernacle Church with the Revs. Kenneth Massingill and Billy Connor officiating. Burial followed at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family received friends from 6 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Brigman's Funeral Service in Black Mountain.
