Michel Larocque spent lots of time doing research at Les Archives Nationales du Québec in Montréal to find documents relating to our family. Michel Larocque has contributed greatly to this Internet WEB site by adding several Notary and religious documents and had them interpreted by professionals to they can be read easily. His latest task and not an easy one; to find the name of Philibert Couillaud dit Roquebrune parents in France using the microfilms done by the Church of Latter Day Saints of the religious acts of the diocese of Nevers. (Nièvre France). You can contact Michel if you have any questions or have any suggestions of research.
Marcel
Larocque of Aylmer serched through the papers left by Robert
de Roquebrune at hte National Archives in Ottawa. From his search
, Marcel
has posted on the WEB several copies of documents (JPGs all in
French) from that Robert de Roquebrune left in his private papers. Unfortunately,
what Robert de Roquebrune left doesn't shed any clues about
what he always pretended about the ancestor of Philibert Couillaud
in France, and the links to the Counts of Champagne. In those boxes of
paper, nothing else but notes and letters on some of which he still pretend
being the descendant of this little noble family in Gascony. I also
invite you to visit his WEB site regarding the Généalogie
de la famille Larocque-Couture.

of Philibert Couillaud.
