Some researchers have said she was daughter of Johan Conrad and Anna Maria Kumpf and that the Kumpfs arrived on the same ship as Matthias Loy: their other daughter Catherina Anna Kumpf married Matthias Loy. Other researchers have disputed this. As I am only researching descendants of Martin Loy (to America 1741), I have not researched any of this for verification, so please take this info with "a grain of salt."
However, it has been documented that John Heinrich arrived in PA from Germany, at age 13, on the ship "Elizabeth" 27 August 1733. He came with (tradition gives older brother) Hans Jurich Loy and Hans Jurich's wife Maria Elizabeth (Troud) Loy.
Note: This information was mainly taken from the second edition of "The Loy Family in America", a book compilation of group sheets of the Loys that came to America from Germany. Some information in this book has been found contradictory, but the names for these children I know are at least correct. A little more detailed information was given me by John Heinrich's descendants in 1984, but with most efforts on my Martin Loy branch, I haven't had time to go through what I do have on John Heinrich. Because time won't permit me to do in-depth research on ALL the Loy immigrant families, I would very much appreciate those researchers who have their (hopefully documented!) Loy info on their own website to please send me their URLs and I will link them from this site. This way, any questions/discrepancies/additions/corrections regarding John Heinrich Loy's family can be addressed to these web page owners who are actually searching John Heinrich's family.
