Lymbery Family History & Nottingham Forest Cricket Club

Lymbery_Logo
This website is devoted to the family history of the Lymbery & Luntley lace manufacturing families of Nottingham and their connections to Nottingham Forest Cricket and Football Clubs formed in the 1860's and 1870's.

Much of it is based on a recently-unearthed irreplaceable archive of photographs and diaries and other Lymbery memorabilia, rescued from destruction and loss. Some will remain with present members of the Lymbery family, but it is intended that much will be lodged with Nottinghamshire County Archives where it can be properly conserved.

Personal items such as the Lymbery Sword and Harold Lymbery's memorial cricket balls will remain in the family.

However, this historical resource deserves a wider audience, thus all the photographs and part of the diaries have been scanned and the images placed on this site. The family histories of the Lymbery's and Luntley's have been extensively researched and the resulting Tree also placed here.

Major Update Implemented (1st March 2006) including expanded Luntley & Litchfield lines and a NEW   London Lymbery  line.

As the Webmaster for this site on behalf of Judy Clifford (nee Lymbery) I take full responsibility for errors of omission or commission, inaccuracies or other human mistakes. Genealogy and historical research are not exact sciences!

I would welcome any comments or contributions and will be happy to hear of any necessary corrections.

This website is still being developed as my research continues into these fascinating families - a lot of my background research results will be published on here shortly. Apologies for any current incompleteness.
