     Cqms Eric William Judd was born on 21 April 1919 at Middlesex, England; and his birth was recorded at Brentford Registration district in the June quarter 1919.1,3 He was the son of Albert Richard Judd and Caroline Richardson.1 Cqms Eric William Judd appeared on the census of 19 June 1921 at Ealing, Middlesex, England, as born at Ealing, Middlesex, England, in 1919.4 He lived on 29 September 1939 at 53 Netherbury Road, Ealing, Middlesex, England; where he was on the 1939 Register, when he was Single and a Railway Clerk.3 He married Hilda Wright in 1944 at Middlesex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Brentford Registration district in the December quarter 1944.5

Cqms Eric William Judd died on 10 February 1945 at Northumberland, England, at age 25; during World War II and his death was recorded at Tynemouth Registration district in the March quarter 1945.

'Country: United Kingdom Locality: Middlesex Location Information: The cemetery, belonging to the Ealing and Old Brentford Burial Board, was laid out in 1861, and covers 21 acres. It is on the road from Ealing and South Ealing railway station to Brentford. It contains scattered War Graves, including that of a Belgian soldier; and a War Cross is erected, backed by a screen wall bearing the names of whose graves are not marked by headstones. No. of Identified Casualties: 184'.2,6,7,8,9,10

His estate was probated on 16 May 1945; and the 1945 National Probate Calendar records that he was of '53 Netherbury-road Ealing Middlesex'; he died 'on war service' and Administration was granted at Llandudno to 'Hilda Judd widow.11' He was commemorated at Ealing War Memorial, Ealing, Middlesex, England.12 He was buried on 8 January 1952 at Ealing and Old Brentford Cemetery, Ealing, Middlesex, England; as a Soldier and transferred to the New Cemetery, when a commemorative headstone was erected in the New Cemetery, Front Row.13

She was recorded as age 68. Her address in the UK was 'c/o Miss Philbrook, 3 Priory Rd., Nth. Cheam, Surrey'; her sister Florence Clara Philbrook was recorded at this address when Probate was recorded after Florence Clara Philbrook's death in 1964.11 She is remembered affectionately by her niece when she visited: 'I remember Aunty May hugging me everytime she saw me. She was very old and I was very young.12' She died on 11 December 1975 at Mona Vale District Hospital, Mona Vale, New South Wales, Australia, at age 84; at age 84.13,14 She was the subject of an obituary or Death Notice in the Sydney Morning Herald which stated she was 'formerly of Brunswick Heads and Dee Why' on 13 December 1975.14

     Arthur Ernest Philbrook was born on 10 November 1892 at Chelsea, London, England; and his birth was recorded at Chelsea Registration district in the December quarter 1892.1,2,3 He was the son of George Philbrook and Clara Bremeyer.1 Arthur Ernest Philbrook was baptized on 30 November 1892 at St John, Worlds End, Chelsea, London, England; and his parents were of Camberley, Surrey.4 He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 543 Kings Road, Fulham, London, England, as Son, age 8, birthplace Chelsea, London.1 He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 566 Kings Road, Fulham, London, England, as Son, age 18, birthplace Chelsea, London, and he was a Sign and Glass Writer.5 He emigrated from London, England, to Australia, and he appears to be the A E Philbrook, born c 1893, who is recorded as a passenger leaving the United Kingdom, who sailed to Sydney in 1912.6,7 He was listed in The Australian Electoral Rolls at Reid and Robertson Districts after 1912 at New South Wales, Australia.8 'Arthur was an ANZAC and lost an arm' fighting in the Great War. 'He went to Gallipoli and I have this large medal that he was given' writes his Granddaughter. He was photographed on an ANZAC Day March in Wyong and is 'in the middle of the front row'. His Service Number was N388825, he enlisted at Kensington, New South Wales, and gave his Sister May Gertrude Patching as his next of kin. The WWI Nominal Roll records him as '868 Pte. Philbrook, Arthur Ernest, 1st Battalion, 31.8.1914, R.T.A., 5.7.1915'.

He married Sabina Hyde in 1917 at Annadale, New South Wales, Australia.6,14 Arthur Ernest Philbrook was listed in Sands Directories of Sydney and New South Wales in 1923 and 1930 at Highland Avenue, Punchbowl, New South Wales, Australia.15,16 He 'built the house in Punchbowl and then another in Mannering Park' and 'had a number of jobs. I know he worked in a shop at some stage and then he became a builder. He also taught drafting at Sydney Tech for a while' according to what his Granddaughter has been told.16 He and Sabina Hyde lived in 1930 at Edenhurst, Highland Avenue, Punchbowl, New South Wales, Australia; where he was on the Electoral Roll as a Lift Driver, while she had Home Duties.17 Arthur Ernest Philbrook enlisted again in the Australian Army in World War II at Paddington, New South Wales; he gave his wife Sabina as his next of kin, with Service Number N388825 on 20 January 1942.18 He was Discharged from the Australian Army and his post at Discharge was BASE HDQRS E C on 31 December 1943.18 He died on 15 November 1969 at Wyong, New South Wales, Australia, at age 77; and his death was announced in the Sydney Morning Herald two days later.19,20,21 He was the subject of an obituary published in The Wyong Advocate on 19 November 1969.22 He was cremated at Beresfield Crematorium, New South Wales, Australia.23,24 He was commemorated as 'son/George & Clara; b.
