      Yes there is some puzzle with John F(Foley) ADAMS. I agree that he is not the son of Joshua and Catharine, though he is living with them in one of the censuses. I should have printed out my research notes because I'm sure I've written something there about the problem (at work again now). And it has something to do with Franklin John ADAMS, born the same year.
