Descendants of Shadrack Harrison The following information pertaining to the descendants of Shadrack Harrison was complied from several sources.  A very big thank you to C.R. "Bob" Harrison of Jefferson County, Iowa for his patience and assistance with this line and thanks also to Paul and Valona Aspy.  Shadrack Harrison was the son of William and Worlenda (Davis) Harrison.  This is not a complete listing of his children, only one daughter, Worlinda and a son William have been located thus far.  Subsequent generations can be viewed by clicking on the individuals name--

Descendants of Shadrack Harrison
14.1 Worlinda Harrison, married Thomas England in Cass County, Michigan on 13 February 1831 (an image of the marriage record is displayed under her father Shadrack's name).  From the biography of her son Joseph England, she died in about February 1835, when he was only 3 months old.  Thomas England appears in the 1840 Federal Census of Louisa County, Iowa, he was the only one listed in the household.  Thomas England, Worlinda's husband, is said to be buried in Louisa County, Iowa, dates listed were 1795-1845.  He was listed as "among the earliest settlers in Wapello Township" and credited as serving as a county commissioner in 1837-1838.  Cemetery Records from Wapello Cemetery list the following (no marker exists):
Name: Thomas England

14.2 William Harrison, was born in December 1819 in Ohio (according to the 1900 census data, see data under his son Joseph).  William Harrison appears in the 1850 - 1880 Federal Censuses of Penn Township, Jefferson County, Iowa.  The family data on file at the Jefferson County Genealogical Society, shows his wife as Susannah Mace born in Tennessee.  The marriage was recorded in McDonough County, Illinois, her name is listed as "Susanna Mays":

Harrison, William    Mays, Susanna             McDonough    3/30/1841    A/40    330
Rather than list a transcription of the 1860 and 1870 Federal Censuses for William Harrison, I thought I would let the images speak for themselves.  From the 1860 Federal Census of Penn Township, Post Office Pleasant Plains, Jefferson County, Iowa, page 80:

The 1870 Federal Census Post Office Lockridge, Penn Township, Jefferson County, Iowa, dated 17 June listed:

The 1880 Federal Census of Penn Township, Jefferson County, Iowa, page 320A, listed: William, age 62, born in Ohio, father born in Maryland, mother born in Ohio; Susannah, age 55, born in Tennessee, both parents born in North Carolina; Margaret, age 15 was the only child left at home.  Their sons, Benjamin and Robert were living next door (see under their children's names, linked from William Harrison's name above).  William Harrison was still living in the 1900 census (see the census data under his son Joseph Harrison linked from William Harrison's name above).
